1. I was trying to remember who did this song.

I recall they were on The Smothers Brothers during the height of the draft.

At the end of the song they wore revolutionary war uniforms and stood in a line like tin soldiers as a drum roll sounded. One by one they would snap to attention and present arms with a rimshot, until the last one who cast away his rifle.

Seemed like a big deal back then and exemplified the social defiance of Dicky and Tommy. I've never been able to find the vid.
