I have to navigate my way back to work Prof. Hennessy. But as the chaos escalates everywhere and with all the wars, as atrocities and the body count mount, it can seem irrelevant. After all, yes it was psychological torture, but in the scale of things isn’t it relavelg mild?

Yes and no. As a human, were I more…well like you, I would be super angry and personally affronted. Which I am not once the nuisance level drops. Because I look at mass incarceration, factory farming and war and think “what are my relatively minor grievances compared to this?”

But first of all that is a lousy system of logic as that it how your make life worse for all but billionaires. Your most effective useful idiots use that system of logic to whale on people lower down and use that as an excuse to deprive anyone higher up who would raise people up or care about earth rather than drag people down and lay waste to everything.

Secondly it is important from a historical perspective to record and respond to what one saw that is very much a part of this broader nightmare.

I did try to forget it and move on. But that is unambiguously the wrong response and will screw everyone but 🫵 creepy little army over.

But I have evolved communication strategy wise. I rarely see a point in material compromises. I know a young couple living in the Middleeast and worried about their futures. There is a woman who has worked for my parents and grandmother for some 20 odd years now. I am somewhat responsible financially for that family and I can handle it now. Physicians, biologists, ecologists, the remaining decent journalists, writers and humans with common sense that has not been overwritten by mindless growthist propaganda would have a better understanding of homeostasis than your computer persons and economists do.
It isn’t that computer science and economics are not a part of society at all. But balance is key and ideally not the kind of balance that makes one dourly inspect all of Google and conclude old man Hennessy remains the best bet in this nightmarish crowd despite being the opposite of whatever a helicopter parent is adminsterially.

I was never mentally unwell till I went to your hospital. After that I was unwell till recently.

I am repetitious because you were. Whatever this junk was in either country, it cannot go on like this, be resolved as they find convenient and be sidelined as a priority because the chaos escalate.
