I have relocated to the eastern coastal area of the continent this year and, when summer comes, plan to return to some of the beaches I frequented in childhood. I grew up here and am looking forward to wandering these beaches to see what is there these days.

I had been in the Rocky Mountains for the last 30+ years so this is really a treat. This time I have chosen to live in the mountains so it's a little bit of a drive to the sea but I'm close enough to get there in a couple hours now as opposed to a 1700 mile expedition!

I did go 'down to the shore' for my birthday a couple months ago and treated myself to a seafood dinner and put my hands in the Atlantic for the first time in decades. It was too chilly to step in the water so I'll wait for warm weather to return for the official christening session!
