The premise that has Frazier moving to Boston and interacting with his son and his son's (maybe?) girlfriend is as plausible and every bit as contrived as the average Three's Company episode, and I do not mean that in a good way.

The new supporting cast leaves something to be desired, and that's where this reboot fails. On Cheers and the spin-off, Frasier was interacting with dynamic characters like Diane, Sam, Lilith, Niles, Roz and his father. It was iron sharpening iron. These characters do not intrigue in the slightest and I'm not really interested in getting to know them any better. But , since we don't have Paramount, that won't be a problem.

It was disappointing, but I hope it has a nice run and everyone enjoys the resulting paychecks.

Thanks. Knowing how right wing he is I was debating if I would watch it and you answered my ratchiweenie Oct 2023 #1

I agree. His conservatism isn't in our face--including in his roles, unlike some of the others hlthe2b Oct 2023 #4
I totally agree. Frazier and Cheers were fabulous and I watched both all the time. Now that I know ratchiweenie Oct 2023 #12
