PG&E warns of possible Northern California power cuts, citing wildfire risk [View all]

Pacific Gas & Electric Co. warned about 13,455 customers in 13 counties that it may turn off power in some areas on Monday and Tuesday due to elevated wildfire risk, the company said.
The utility is monitoring forecasts for high temperatures, breezy offshore winds and low humidity for possible Public Safety Power Shutoffs, according to a news release Saturday.

In the Bay Area, PSPS notices were sent to 140 customers in Napa County, as well 268 customers in Sonoma County, 346 in Alameda County and 286 in Contra Costa County, PG&E said.
