Flu is not, however mistakenly, generally recognized as life-threatening, and vaccines are not always easy to get or cheap. I wasn’t vaccinated for flu until I was in my 40s, and I got it then to protect an older relative. I wouldn’t skip it now!

The trauma of parents who have lost a child isn’t something we should ever minimize, much less gloat over.

I appreciate SunSeeker posting this story, which should serve as a useful reminder to unvaccinated folks to get the shot if they can.
