1. If they are going to make it permanent, it makes far more sense to make it standard time...

Wednesday

I do a long walk/hike with the pup and some other dog-walkers at 5AM every morning, summer, fall, winter, spring--no matter the weather. So, I'm used to it being dark in the AM. Even now, dawn doesn't really start to take until after 5:30AM. But, at least we all see dawn and get some sunshine if we stay out there long enough--even in the winter

Yeah, this seems ill-advised.
