For a while. Connecticut doesn't have a great history with big trucks, ref 1980s.

If it's on the pavement, the road will be closed for a while. That kind of fire will melt not only pavement but bridge structure as well. When I was driving tankers in SoCal, a rig I had refused to drive anymore had a bad wreck on the freeway and melted the road and everything around it for some distance. From the looks of the smoke plume, that truck was loaded.
