27. My 91 year old neighbor got an appointment today...

...actually, his son (an attorney) hunted on the Publix websites for hours, and got an appointment about 2 hours away. The family is driving him there.

I appears that Publix and some hospital systems that donated to DeSatan or the GOP got dibs on some of the vaccine. Even though it's true that Publix set up websites in a free-for-all, it's not clear how much actually went to other folks in private networks.

I know at least SOME of the vaccine went to a hospital or insurance groups who emailed their list and offered the vaccine to those who received the email. Even though they may be following guidelines (like over 65), that vaccine allocation was essentially earmarked for their email list.

There is no "universal" or "organized" process in Florida - or at least not with DeSatan making the rules. I'm sure that Biden will have to set up some kind of Federal or government distribution at public sites or it won't get better.

I'm reminded of a Warren Zevon song when it comes to Florida Aviation Pro Feb 2021 #1
Jimmy Buffett's ode to deadending in Florida is the most brilliant rendition. Baitball Blogger Feb 2021 #2

This is a major gripe I have about Florida. Baitball Blogger Feb 2021 #5
Florida is getting rapidly worse, not better. Chainfire Feb 2021 #11
Yup. And it's going to take many of us to tell our stories so that newcomers can begin to understand Baitball Blogger Feb 2021 #12

I don't expect this thread to come up with good testimonials. Baitball Blogger Feb 2021 #6
That's what I meant about "highly visible locations." rzemanfl Feb 2021 #7
But in matters of safety, health and welfare, it shouldn't be that way, should it? Baitball Blogger Feb 2021 #8
It shouldn't. rzemanfl Feb 2021 #9

I can only speak for where I live which is Lee County William769 Feb 2021 #22
Totally unexpected. Glad to hear that they're actually contacting those most in need. Baitball Blogger Feb 2021 #28
I like the idea of them calling & me not having to jump through hoops trying to get an appointment. William769 Feb 2021 #29
They don't want uniformity because it will upset the entire patronage and barter system Baitball Blogger Feb 2021 #30
