Pregnant horse brutally stabbed to death near American Falls [View all]

AMERICAN FALLS — A very friendly mustang that had been saved from slaughter was stabbed to death in a horrific case of animal cruelty near American Falls early Sunday morning.

The horse's owner, Kim Clark, said the 6-year-old mustang, named Dee, and several other mustangs were brought to her by a rescue group.

Clark said Dee was pregnant at the time of her death.

The female horse was going to be transported to a new home Sunday when Clark found her dead in the pasture outside her Fish Hatchery Road residence.
