What does Tippecanoe mean? [View all]

Googling it brings the battle of, township, president Harrison..

Is it an Indian word?

I just finished a mystery book: Death in Lacquer Red by Jeanne Dams, a prolific mystery writer.

This one take place in 1900 in South Bend and the heroine is a Swedish immigrant working as a servant for the Studebaker family at their home - the Tippecanoe Place.
