Was a teacher and we had a superintendent say something about arming teachers to prevent school mass shootings in 2001...post columbine.

The community was appalled and forced the school board to fire him and buy out his contract. many of the faculty thought he said outrageous things to get fired because wife had cancer and he didn't want to deal with the crazy school board.

But main idea is that 20 years ago this shit was so crazy that you got put on the news and you got fired for it. Now, it passes as policy for rethuglican lawmakers who can't pass anything for the good of the people.
