Gov. Kim Reynolds pushes back reopening announcement to Wednesday [View all]

owa Gov. Kim Reynolds has pushed back her announcement of further business reopenings in Iowa until Wednesday.

Reynolds had said Monday that she would be making an announcement Tuesday about which parts of her public health proclamations would be allowed to expire as scheduled on Friday and which will be extended through the end of the month.

Reynolds said at her Tuesday news conference that she is continuing to review data with the Iowa Department of Health.

“I’m still reviewing some information with the Department of Public Health and my team today, and we’ll be announcing the new changes tomorrow,” she said. “I know that Iowans and businesses are eager to know what’s next. But as I’ve said all along, these decisions must be made carefully and driven by data.”
