10. I have waxless skis...

But this time of year, as it warms up a lot while out there, I found I had to use a liquid red wax that I could apply right there in the middle of nowhere because the snow would start to cake up on them like thick mud. It became part of the routine, standing on one ski while scraping the five pounds of snow off the bottom of the loose ski and applying, like a big shoe polish applicator, the red wax stuff so I could make it back to the road.

Springtime skiing.
