Maryland

I have 10 cats, ranging in age from 6 months to several who are 20+ or nearly that old. Some come when called by name. All do what cats do in crisis...hide. Whether it be a tornado warning or a fire (we've had a couple of small ones in the past), I don't go to safety until I have my babies safely with me. Sitting here, reading this... I can immediately feel the adrenalin rush of panic race through me as I see myself in that woman's position. I can feel her heart breaking, her panic, her absolute certainty she's going to find her baby. To me, she died a hero...
