1. It's not clear why there was a warrant, but everything seems to have gone smoothly and legally

The police rhetoric seems rather OTT and inappropriate unless the guy was really suspected of supplying guns to local criminals, but there's no evidence of that, and no evidence the police believed it in reality rather than rhetoric. - they behaved quite reasonably also.

The guy had gone to the trouble of building a secured area for the guns, I wonder why no permits - unless the juvenile crime prevented him from getting them, or they're things you can't get permits for.
