Poll: Markey leads Lynch among Democratic primary voters [View all]

Huge note of caution: This is the same pollster that had Brown 20 + points ahead of Markey a few weeks ago, just before Brown dropped out. Two days later, PPP had him only a few points ahead, so I would not put too much trust in the numbers.

In the WBUR/MassINC Polling Group survey, Markey gets 38 percent of likely Democratic primary voters, while Lynch takes 31 percent. About a fifth of respondents didn't know who they wanted or declined to answer the question.

Markey fares even better with Democrats alone, taking 42 percent support to Lynch's 25 percent support.

A word of caution, this is a poll by MassInc, with a huge MOE concerning the primary poll (they polled Dems + Unenrolled, which means that they got some people who will vote in the RW primary).

Considering that the media has been pushing for Lynch as much as they could and dismissing Markey, this is not a bad place, though way too close for my taste.
