It serves several purposes of the so called anti-government people.

1. part of the wage suppression operation that began with EITC in 1976.

2. formerly better paid and benefited and pensioned employees are replaced with lower paid and no benefit workers.

3. accountability disappears

4. services are reduced while there are no reductions in costs.

The only things privatization achieves is conversion of tax money meant for services converted to profit for a few and doesn't even require any investment and contracts go to corporations friendly to (campaign support) elected officials.
