to some religious twist. In Mississippi it ultimately will always come down to religion. They are not the only state but I think the worst.

It is awfully hard to move past that type of mentality. The real problem is not the religious fervor but mix it with evangelicalism and racism and you have a recipe for the status quo. That applies to most states in the South but maybe not so extreme.

I have empathy for the people trapped in such a society.
