1. Dunno, but it seems that if you move to one of the big college towns

you should find plenty of DUers because the towns are full of people who know how to read and we all know the cure for rabid conservatism is reading.

ETA: I can understand the attraction if you grew up there. There's also the lower cost of living and slower pace of life to make it attractive. I do occasionally think about moving back to NC to one of the islands of liberal heathens there. Then I think about the humidity and get over it.
