big issues w/ violence, and guns, at downtown locations. To be fair, shootings do occur throughout the city and not just downtown, and the city (and city residents) have long tried to deal w/ the guns repeatedly over time...HA, the mayor was holding a news conference about gun violence and as she was speaking, you could hear gunshots going off on the newscast at the same time.

Downtown and some of its bars seem to be the center of such violence, one bar in particular was shut down for one whole year, and I suspect in part due to their very irresponsible manner in responding to gun violence that occurred within their premises, not cooperating w/ police when they showed up, etc.

--me) this bar and patrons were ignoring all COVID social distancing rules, masks, etc. (pisses me off as the bars I go to do maintain COVID safety rules, masks, etc.). This bar was flouting the rules openly and for a long time;

I didn't reproduce the entire article on the violence spewed at Reign's in downtown STLMO, it doesn't need to be repeated here, but I will say as a city residence, with friends that live in the downtown portion of STLMO, I'm glad that they finally acted against Reign's...if you wanted a place that literally didn't care about the neighborhood, or the people that lived down there, this is the place. Good. There are enough responsible businesses that do care about preventing violence, and protecting the citizens of the city.
