MISSOULA, Mont. — Thousands of customers remained without power on Thursday morning after a storm caused widespread damage across Western Montana on Wednesday night.

Northwestern Energy's outage map showed dozens of confirmed outages in the Missoula area, Bitterroot Valley, from St. Regis to Superior, and from Helena to Boulder.

More than 800 Mission Valley Power customers were without power on Thursday morning, according to their outage map.

Missoula Electric Cooperative's outage map noted more than 14,000 customers without power as of 7 a.m.
