9. I have been aware of Pho since watching Bourdain in 2001.

Since that time a lot of people have become fans of it (largely due to Tony Bourdain going to Vietnam for 17 years and three popular TV shows). My friend, her mom and kids were with me and we went out to get some pho and they pronounced it incorrectly. To explain it to them I said, "It is pronounced like Fu** You". None of them were offended and they knew how to pronounce it immediately.
