Seriously not kidding. I once saw a documentary about elections and campaigning in general and this was the principal advice of a professional campaign-advisor. He mentioned two candidates who won their elections out of nowhere by following this advice: Arnold Schwarzenegger and some eastern-european politician I don't remember.
