4. Why can't all state and local taxes be considered this way ?

State income taxes, property taxes, license plate fees, water and sewer bills, sales taxes, utility taxes, Library taxes, mass transit taxes, trash fees, local permits etc.

If these could all be catagorized as charitable contributions they could all be written off taxes as well saving people a lot of money when filing.
