6. 10 digit dialing is increasingly common.

Usually when they run out of numbers in an area code. They did it here when they ran out of numbers in the 336 area code. Instead of splitting the area, and making half of the 336 number holders change, they just overlayed a second area code. Have to dial 10 numbers but it wasn’t a big deal.
