New York voters have options on how to cast their ballots this year [View all]

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Common Cause NY advocates for expanding voter access.

Executive Director Susan Lerner said this year the state has done a good job of doing that, including launching a new vote-by-mail system.

"New York voters now have the opportunity to choose how and when they're going to vote," Lerner said.

Any registered voter can request a ballot either by mail or online no later than 10 days before the election. The deadline this year is Oct. 26.
