6. I've spent a lot of time in Black Mountain, NC - and it's in the far western part of the state, nearest Tennessee

So I was shocked that they sustained such damage/flooding. When I was there, they only got the occasional "dusting" of snow in the winter. And they weren't necessarily prepared for that.
