So, it doesn't seem like he is a "self-made" man. It seems like he divorced his first wife, and then within a year, married a widow, 20 years his senior that owned a farm. She and Blystone changed the deed just before she died. He acquires his 2nd wife's family farm. He then turned around and married his third wife two years later.
