I see stats like those posted here and I have to play numbers games.

I added up the populations of cities in TN with over 100,000 people, there are six.

1 Nashville-Davidson 687,488
2 Memphis 651,932
3 Knoxville 186,173
4 Chattanooga 179,690
5 Clarksville 152,934
6 Murfreesboro 136,366

which total almost 2M compared to a total state population of 6.829 M..

so the 6 largest cities account for over 29% of the people there.

i thought about moving there a few years ago as ORNL is located there. It is a rural red state but there are some blue areas.
