5. My cousin lives in Eastern Tennessee now.

She went to college (she's now an R.N.) in Western NC, met her husband in college and they eventually moved to Eastern Tennessee since that's where he was from. They now have a daughter. I've been thinking about them tonight - though she wouldn't have been better off if she'd remained in NC, this entire area is under water.
