So sick of these backward dummies in my state. It is incredibly difficult for a woman to get an abortion in this state. If you don't live near a large city like Nashville, Memphis, or Knoxville, you are looking at travel, overnight stay in motel, and $609 to $1500 for the procedure. One of my dearest childhood friend went through this painful decision recently. She ultimately decided to keep her baby and hopes to get her career back on track this fall. Unless I'm mistaken, there are only 3 clinics in the entire state and they all require that a woman be counseled one day and wait 24 hours to return for the procedure. The aim is to discourage abortion and I'm sure it does so. It takes incredible courage for a woman to endure this bullshit.

It is even worse for women in Mississippi and Arkansas. Only one clinic in each of those states when we looked into the options available.
