Despite the efforts of many groups, including our Democratic mayor, we thankfully dodged that bullet. Sure, it would've been an economic boost, but the negative impacts (especially noise) overrode any of that, IMO.

I'm curious how the residents of Burlington will view their city in a few years. Will the noise mitigation claims of the Air Force siting committee prove true or, as I suspect, once they are there they just blow and go with impunity?
