She was kept in a garage because she could escape a normal chain linked fence and the main owner was a long haul truck driver with the mother taking care of a disabled child. One of my middle child's workmates rescued this dog twice and on the third time, the owners turned her over to her and somehow I ended up with her. We have tall six foot wood fences on two sides of the property and a six foot brick fence on the back. The puppy escaped until we put in dig guards and covered a gap at the front gate. Now we have a GPS unit on the puppy that alerts us when the puppy is more than 300 feet from my house. The puppy is happy to see us and comes home easily

According to one of my workmates, there are three or four Husky rescue groups in Houston because Huskies escape. Huskies like to escape and wander.

Our new puppy is very affectionate.
