...don't want the competition of solar and wind unless they control (make $$$ off of) it. WA is an interesting power state where PUDs-- Public Utility Districts --while mandated to work for the public good and generally do so, are none the less in fact businesses. Not all of them in WA have their own hydroelectric dams but many do, some several, so they get political around issues like this. The Grand Coulee Dam is just over the hill from Addy, WA.
