Possums are notorious for appearing deader than they really are. Maybe it was just resting.

The book resurrecting possums for dummies suggest using water first and if that doesn’t work in 5 minutes to switch to something with ammonia like smelling salts or wiper fluid.

If that doesn’t work it’s a sign of possession so yelling repent and sprinkling holy water is advised. She was probably out of holy water, but honestly possessed possums aren’t that common.

Or maybe the possum was just dead and she’s a nut but I don’t like to judge.
