What is done at the clerk's office is that they make a color copy of your ID.
If you have a printer with a scanner/copier you can easily do this at home and include that with your application for absentee ballot.

A digital image may not be accepted as they can be manipulated. I would use the simple color copy and print that is pretty common. A Kinko's can make one for pennies, if you have no priniter ( or are out of ink).

You can drop the docs off at the clerk's off or mail it to them, as long a it's post marked before the deadline my mail, in my first post here.
