There is a monastery where only one monk is permitted to speak briefly once a year.

When it was Brother Mark's turn, he said, "My bed is too hard."

Ten years later it was his turn again. He said, "My cell is too cold."

The following year it was Brother Matthew's turn. He looked at Brother Mark and said, "Complain, complain. All you ever do is complain."
