I hate windows 10 [View all]

I brought my son (who is a high functioning autistic young adult man) a Lenovo laptop in April with windows 10 installed. I previously brought him one with Windows 8 that I updated to windows 10. Computer crashed and I ended up getting a new hard drive with windows 7 it worked ok for a couple of months then it upgraded to windows 10 automatically. Then My son accidentally dropped it and I brought him another one this past April with windows 10 preloaded. It was running great then he brought it home and told me the task manager was not working. I tried to reset the computer and the laptop got caught in the blue screen of death. After trying to reset it and get it going again I gave up and gave him an old laptop with windows xp that I had and took his new computer to Best Buy. The geek knew immediately what the problem was. It seems this is common in windows 10. I was given a choice of paying $160 to back up his old files and buy an external hard drive or pay $399 for a one year protection, virus removal etc. I paid $350 for this computer in April of 2017! I decided to back up files and try to restore the computer on my own. I am so angry that windows 10 is a piece of crap software. If this computer bugs out again I’m switching to a Mac. The geek at Best Buy said windows 10 is unstable and not a day goes by that people like me come in to get it fixed. Terrible timing right after Xmas. But my son needs his computer at his group home. He also had a 1st generation iPad that is still running. You can’t update the apps but you can access the Internet. Just wanted to vent.
