3. You might have some file corruption in the FF program files. Try these suggestions:

Reboot. If that doesn't work ...

Uninstall FF, then reinstall FF. If that doesn't work ...

Reinstall Windows. Consider upgrading to Win 11.

I just made the change from Win 8.1 to Win 11. It's been pretty good after I got used to it. It's certainly more stable. I had multiple computers running 8.1. They frequently crashed especially on shut down, causing reboots instead of turning off.
