Where previously RW candidates had been very hard-line, but in the wake of the Kansas referendum, for example, and polling swings, replaced those statements with marshmellow general statements like "I support the sanctity of human life" or somesuch. (And so...?) I think Blake Masters (U.S. senate candidate, Arizona) was one of those.

Well drat, the story doesn't mention archive.org.

NBC News took screenshots of the website before and after it was changed.

Oh well. I do remember though some stories like this involving various candidates where they found previous incarnations of campaign web pages on archive.org.
