It is less than 2 years old, and the warranty is expired. The battery failed and the case is swelling and hot. She has ordered a new phone, but told me she will have to transfer her data herself. The person she talked to said she shouldn't try to turn the old phone on, or use the charger. Said she just had to transfer the SIM card. Does anyone have advice for her to make the transer as easy and safe as possible? She and her husband are both tech savvy, but this'll be the first time she's had to do the transfer. Thanks for any tips!

UPDATE: She just texted me that she's got the phone set up and it's good She put the old phone in her soup pot lolol
