the iPad Air 1 and 2 which is the last that came out. The overall difference is the weight. The iPad Air 1 weighs a little more than Air 2 and since I use it quite a bit those ounces do add up! Other than that, the processor has been upgraded. They are both the same screen size. I also have a Surface Pro 3 that replaced my laptop. I like going using them both AND being able to travel lighter, i.e., no more laptop, laptop case, big old a/c, etc. Hope this helps a bit.
