11. If possible, get a Mac that has an SSD (Solid State Drive) and not a hard drive or fusion drive.

The SSD drive units are so much faster, plus the newer Mac operating systems (Sierra 10.12.6 and High Sierra 10.13.4) work much better with them with fewer bugs.
