The most recent minor update for macOS Catalina (10.15.7) was released 11/5.

And then yesterday they let loose with the new macOS, Big Sur (11.0.1).

The bigger news (in case you missed it) was their starting to take orders for the new line of Macs that use the same CPU chip family as the iPhones/iPads. So the newest Macs are no longer "Intel Inside" but use a chip designed and made by Apple.

Fyi, a review of Big Sur: https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2020/11/macos-11-0-big-sur-the-ars-technica-review/
And of the new machines: https://www.wired.com/story/everything-apple-announced-november-2020/

I'm seeing a lot of apps getting updated to support the new OS and chip sets.
