Every week I help 5-6 families get covered, and so can you.
Even though I travel and am talking only with strangers it is still possible to help folks get health care.
Most of the people that are still in the dark about it are people that don't have a lot of computer skills. So whatever town I am in I go here: https://localhelp.healthcare.gov/ and print up the list of the local offices where people can go in and talk with someone (if you are in a state that has its own exchange you go there.
I also have a sign in the window on my car which says "I got a great health care plan under ACA, ask me how". Yesterday at a gas station I talked to a single mother and gave her the list and today at the gym I helped the local manager. In both cases I expect that they will either Medicaid or highly subsidized. I had one hair stylist tell me that after she applied after my last hair cut that she was able to get a plan for $ 50.
Its not making a huge dent in the problem, but for the family who gets covered and has to take someone to the emergency room or see a doctor you have just made a dramatic impact on their life.
