(Bloomberg) -- The son of Colombian president Gustavo Petro said he will present “new facts” to the court where he is being charged with money laundering and illicit enrichment.

Nicolás Petro pled not guilty to both charges during a hearing on Tuesday.

“I want to announce to Colombia that we have decided to start a collaboration process where I will refer to new facts and situations that will help justice,” Nicolás Petro told the court.

He didn’t elaborate on what the facts are, or whether they might comprise any officials from his father’s government or political party.

Prosecutors started investigating Nicolás Petro in March after his ex-wife Daysuris Vásquez gave an interview alleging he took money from criminals to finance his father’s campaign. Both Nicolás and Vásquez were detained last weekend for events that took place starting last year, the attorney general’s office said. The hearing is scheduled restart on Thursday afternoon.
