2. So what have the Repuds done to stabilize the Caribbean?

They’ve demanded even more restrictions on the US southern border and are looking for ways to cut what little assistance the US gives its southern neighbors even further.

In short, they’ve done nothing.

What they HAVE done is try to punish the economies of our southern neighbors and allow the rivers of drug money and guns to flow to the criminals who run the cartels.

I have said time and time again that I’m no fan of the Havana regime or of the fools who’ve run the Venezuelan economy into the ground. That being said, I am forced to acknowledge that visitors’ property and persons are far safer in Cuba than they are elsewhere in the Latin Caribbean and that the Havana regime has done a far better job of keeping the malign influence of the criminal cartels at bay than their unfortunate neighbors to the west and south.
