charlatans claimed the lines are ancient "runways and guides" for alien spaceships. This might shut them up but their believers, to my knowledge, have never been asked to answer why people with such advanced capabilities would be in ships with the need to come in and take off like plain old airplanes. Let alone that they would need "runways and guides"
