Great that Kerry is getting recognition for his professionalism and his skill as a diplomat. One - now they get it - comment - so CNN now says that Kerry was known for his sense of humor. Anyone watching him in hearings or listening to most of his non serious policy speeches saw that years ago. In fact, what I always enjoyed was that he was genuinely witty and he used humor to defuse situations about to explode. (This was often the case in the hours on the Senate floor on START) It was also note worthy that his humor was almost never used to hurt others - there was no meanness there.

I watched the tail end of his Geneva press conference on Ukraine. I hope and pray that what they have worked out will actually be able to be achieved. This really is an incredibly scary situation.
